Sir, It is interesting to note Ms Gwyther's dramatic U- turn regarding the options on healthcare services. Historically, Ms. Gwyther supported the option of single health boards despite concerns, privately, from her Labour colleagues in the Welsh Assembly, that this option would prove costly. Yet now we hear that she would like to merge both the three Trusts and Health Boards in West Wales thus, and I quote: 'a saving of literally millions of pounds each year... which would be spent on direct patient care'. Is she brave enough to admit costly mistakes were made by Labour AM's and herself included? If healthcare services are moved from Withybush, and the Welsh Conservatives will fight hard to prevent the loss of such services, can Ms. Gwyther guarantee that work will commence on the A40, which seems to have become less of a priority, since extra journey times to hospital, in an emergency, can be the deciding factor between life and death?   Mrs. D.
