GORGEOUS baby, Laurie Dale, born on September 8 is currently taking the starring role in the family of his grandfather, Tenby's own "Mr. Music," Laurie Dale, and his own parents, actor Charles Dale and his wife Sara.
Meanwhile the Laurie Dale who Tenby has loved for 50 years will perform three times during Arts Festival week.
On Tuesday he performed to a large audience in Under Milk Wood which was revived as a tribute to producer Barbara Fisher. Today, Friday at 1 pm, he will present Fun with Woods with Pauline Allen at the Pam Pam. Variations of his double-act have not only delighted audiences over 40 years, but, thanks to the generosity of Laurie and Pauline, have made many thousands of pounds for charities.
Tomorrow, Saturday, Laurie will present Music is My Life at the De Valence Pavilion at 4 pm. There will be nostalgia home-videos of the Gang Show, and also the footage of Laurie playing opposite his late wife Marion and with daughter Linzi in Fiddler on the Roof. Laurie will then mention son Charles's acting career with amateur film from his student days.
All who know Laurie - and those who have followed Charles' career from distinguished Shakespearean actor to the massively popular Dennis in Coronation Street - will enjoy this trip down memory lane which no doubt will also mention the latest Dale to take a bow!
