A motorist has been tragically killed in a road accident in South Pembrokeshire.
Thirty-five-year-old Tommy Taylor, of Britannia Drive, Pembroke Dock, died when the Lancia Delta car he was driving was in collision with a stone gate post outside Home Farm, Cresselly, on Monday night.
The accident on the A4075 Cross Hands to Carew road occurred at approximately 11.15 pm.
Two passengers in the vehicle, which was travelling in the direction of Carew, received serious, but not life threatening injuries and were conveyed to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, for treatment. Monday's tragedy came just days after a notorious stretch of road on the A477 claimed yet another life.
Shortly before 3 pm last Thursday afternoon, a motorist died in a three-vehicle collision near the Old Rectory Restaurant, Llanddowror. As a result of the collision, involving a van and two cars, one of the vehicle's caught fire. This resulted in the fatality of the driver. The victim, a man, has not been named by police because formal identification has not yet been completed.
The road was closed for some time and diversions set up.
Police are appealing for witnesses who were travelling on the A477 between St. Clears and Llanddowror at approximately 3 pm that afternoon. They especially want to hear from anyone who saw an old style white Peugeot 205 travelling on this road between the time given who may have witnessed the manner of driving.
