South Pembrokeshire has been basking in a frenzy of TV mania.
And it's all good news for the county's tourism operators.
Recent programmes featuring the resort on BBC Wales' 24/7, Channel 4's Grand Designs, featuring the renovation of the old lifeboat house, and Ironman Wales, plus BBC3's Don't Tell The Bride have all been given the thumbs up.
Pembrokeshire County Council reports that Tenby TIC has had a number of enquiries specifically referring to the recent BBC Wales TV programme about the town.
Mail enquiries have also increased over the past couple of weeks, while quite a number of visitors to the centre have also mentioned the programme.
Chris Osborne, of Tenby's Fourcroft Hotel, and president of Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism, said: "We have heard stories of the accommodation providers' telephones going 'hot' immediately following Tenby's TV appearances.
"And one story of a 'senior' lady walking down North Cliffe on her way to see the old lifeboat house, thinking she could just turn up and go in.
"Whether the effect of all this media exposure produced instant conversions or more subliminal awareness, the town will have benefited hugely.
"The Ironman Wales video reflected the whole of South Pembrokeshire's stunning beauty but, as with all the media, Tenby came out as a must-see location.
"Let's hope the Tenby offer can live up to the 'hype'."
Activity Wales' Matthew Evans, who was one of the race directors of the gruelling triathlon challenge, staged for the first time in and around Tenby last month, said: "It does seem for one reason or another Tenby and Pembrokeshire seems to be in the media on a national level.
"It's a great time to be getting this coverage as some of the big advertisers, such as ourselves, plan 2012 campaigns across all platforms. It will make some advertising more receptive, but with online resources such as iplayer etc, it has meant that via database activity, Twitter and Facebook, companies have been able to interact at a good level to encourage bookings."
It was also an upbeat story from FBM Holidays' Tim Brace.
He said: "We have been really really busy for the last five or six weeks and the reaction has been very positive. All the publicity is good for Pembrokeshire.
"Bookings are looking encouraging and it just goes to show with added marketing that the overall result brings more tourists to the area. Long may it continue."
