Monday's Hotel 24/7 on BBC Wales features a chef from Tenby. Hotel 24/7 is a week inside the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, and a behind-the-scenes look into the life of its hard-working staff. Simon Crockford appears in episode three and at 32, is the youngest head chef at the Celtic Manor Resort. In a typical day, Simon is in charge of a team who serves up to 750 breakfasts and he's also responsible for the hotel's modern twist on an afternoon tea at one of the seven restaurants at the hotel. Born and bred in Tenby, he's worked at two restaurants in Tenby, one of which is the Mews Restaurant. As a successful chef, Simon is also member of the Welsh Culinary Team which is heading to Luxembourg to compete in the World Culinary Cup later this year. Hotel 24/7 is on Monday, September 22, BBC One Wales, at 7.30 pm.
