WRITER and music critic Paul Griffiths from Manorbier can be seen on BBC4 TV tomorrow (Saturday). He will be talking in the second half of a concert broadcast live from the Barbican Hall in London. "I'll be on around 9 pm talking about Elliott Carter's Variations for Orchestra, and then around 9.30, talking about the last piece on the programme, Roger Sessions' Rhapsody," said Paul. Elliott Carter, aged 97, is among the most distinguished living composers, and he's coming to London for these concerts from his home in New York. Then, on Sunday, on BBC Radio 3, at 12 noon, Paul is Michael Berkeley's guest on his weekly programme 'Private Passions'. Added Paul: "I've chosen nine songs, by composers ranging from the 12th Century to the 21st, and these are played during the course of the interview."
