Child campaigners from the Skrinkle Estate, Manorbier, have not been turning their attention to play this half-term, but continuing their efforts to block plans for a controversial housing scheme. After meeting with another politician last week, they took advantage of the school holiday and good weather to finish their campaign film. With cameras present to record them filming and and a reporter present to interview them for the BBC Wales News, the children (with clapperboards at the ready) say: "We are not giving up. "The National Park officers may be recommending approval of developing our play area for housing, but all the politicians are supporting us, and telling the planners they have got it wrong."
The children got back to finishing their film on Wednesday and the final version of the DVD will be played to members at the Pembrokeshire National Park's development planning meeting next week. Meanwhile, until then, the children will keep trying to open more doors to strengthen their campaign.
