Local councillors are looking into setting up a trust fund that would enable them to offer financial support to youngsters within the town, who might be budding sports stars of the future. The idea was put forward at Tuesday evening's meeting of the town council by town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, after guidelines recently prevented councillors from donating a grant to a local boy who had just been signed up for Cardiff City's youth academy.
