Licensed premises are sending out a clear message to troublemakers in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock by banning 14 people indefinitely from their premises. Over 40 licensed premises in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock are in the local Behave or Be Banned (BOBB) scheme. They have currently banned 14 people indefinitely, four people are banned for 12 months and one is banned for three months. A further 12 people are currently subject to an interim ban awaiting a final decision from the licensees. PCSO Dave Powell said: "The licensed premises support this scheme and are instrumental in supporting the police with keeping out unruly customers. At present we have 42 licensed premises in the scheme, with the possibility of supermarkets joining as well. "The person does not need to have been arrested to be banned. However, if a person is arrested for violence, criminal damage, public order or drug offences in or around a pub, they will be issued with an interim ban by the police. "BOBB is an excellent example of communities and the police working together to keep Pembrokeshire safe."
