Ten Trots ran the ever popular London Marathon. This was Ian Williams's first marathon and he finished in 67th place in two hours, 31 minutes. Caroline Jones ran in an excellent time of three hours 12 minutes.
Also running were Mark Terry, Cyril Walters, Amanda Morgan, Chris Birch, Lon Morgan, Oona Crawford and Rosie Swale-Pope.
The Cwrtnewydd four-mile race had the female course record broken by TROT runner, Nicky Sykes. Roger Coombs came eighth and was the first male over 40 to finish. Martin Davies was 10th, Caroline Jones 14th and won first lady over 45. Jason Dickinson was 18th and Dave Griffiths 19th.
At the Newport Bay Spring Festival 10km race, Claire Clethero was the first lady over 35 to finish and Lindy Eynon and Helen Williams were second and third ladies to finish over 45.
