Three TROTs have recently represented Wales.

Ian Williams and Ann Thomas both ran the half marathon in Marakesh, with Ian being the first Welshman and Ann the third Welsh lady to finish. Caryl Jones came second at the 3km Welsh Indoor Championships and was first Welsh lady.

The club's awards were presented at the TROTs annual dinner and dance.

Ian Williams and Ann Thomas won the Top TROT award, and in the veteran category Kevin Griffiths received the male award, while the female award was shared between Mary Bowen Rees, Mel Watson and Pauline Thomas.

Best newcomers were Ben Perkins, Paul Hayes, Caryl Jones, Kirsty Murray and Caroline Jones.

The club's handicap races were won by Ian Morris and Ann Thomas and in the veteran category by Tom Holiday, Pauline Thomas and Mary Bowen Rees.

This year's road race champions were Ann Thomas and Martin Davies, and in the veteran category Mark Terry and Pauline Thomas.

The most promising young TROT award went to Jake Watson, while Dave Griffiths was presented with a special trophy for running the most races in the past year.

Other aawards went to sports person of the year, Mike Hodges, poser of the year, Brian Williams and club person of the year, Dwyfor Morgan.
