Six TROTs ran the Dale half marathon. Kevin Griffiths was third male over 40 to finish and Ann Thomas was the female winner. Ann set a new female course record. Dean John was 12th, Roger Coombs 15th, Mark Terry 17th, and Chris Birch 52nd.
The Dale 10km race was held at the same time. Dave Griffiths was first male over 40 to finish and Lindy Eynon was the female winner.
Four TROTs, Lon Morgan, Penny Rees, Mike Hodges and Claire Clethero, successfully completed the Pumlumon Challenge, a 27-mile mountain race.
Cyril Walters and Andrew Birch travelled to Newcastle to run the Great North Run, a half marathon.
The Cardiff half marathon had 12 TROTs participating. Ann Thomas was the first female over 35 to finish. This was a first half marathon for Caryl Jones and Ben Perkins and both ran sub 90 minutes. Also running were Mark Terry, Martin Davies, Cyril Walters, Liz Richards, Tracy Sharratt, Oona Crawford, Pauline Thomas, Liz Dutch and Lon Morgan.
