TROTs have been busy running in many of the local races. The 10 km Dambusters race at the Llys-y- Fran Dam was won by Ian Williams. The female winner was Nicola Sykes. Both of them set a new course record for this race. Kevin Griffiths was sixth and second male veteran winner. Ann Thomas was 11th and first female veteran. Malcolm Adams was 24th, Mary Bowen Rees 25th and Claire Clethero 27th and second in the open female category. Positions were as follows: Dave Griffiths 31st, Chris Birch 36th, Lindy Eynon 37th, David Breeze 57th, Tom Furness 60th, Lon Morgan 63rd, Mike Hodges 64th and Pauline Thomas 65th. At the Sarn Helen 16.5 mile race, Kevin Griffiths was fourth and second male veteran. Ann Thomas was fifth and first female winner and missed breaking the female course record by seconds. Mike Hodges was 47th. At Neyland 10 km, seven TROTs ran. Roger Coombs was third and second male veteran, Dave Griffiths, Martin Davies and Mary Bowen Rees were 12th, 13th and 14th places respectively. Chris Birch was 23rd and Lindy Eynon 24th and David Breeze 49th places. Mary was the overall female winner and Lindy the female veteran winner. At the Talley 5 km race, Roger Coombs was third male veteran, Mary Bowen Rees female winner, Claire Clethero first open female winner and Lindy Eynon second female veteran. Also running were Martin Davies, Dave Griffiths, Ann Rowell and David Breeze.
