TROTs have been busy competing in various 10km and half-marathon races. 

Nine TROTs travelled to Cardiff to compete in the 10km race. Ann Thomas came 108th and was second in her age category. Positions of TROT runners were as follows: Cyril Walters 200th, Lindy Eynon 305th, Wynne Griffiths 394th, Ann Rowell 445th, Tracey Sharratt 678th, Tanis Hand 708th, Amanda Morgan 750th and Lon Morgan 751st. 

TROTs were awarded with medals at the Swansea Bay10km race. Ian Williams ran in the Under 23 Welsh team.  He was 10th overall and first in his team which won a gold medal. Kevin Griffiths was 107th. Ann Thomas and Mary Bowen Rees were 164th and 228th, respectively. Both ran in the West Wales team which won a gold medal.  The Welsh championships were incorporated in this event.

Ann won a gold medal and Mary a bronze medal in their age categories. Cyril Walters was 280th, Clare Clethero 326th, Lindy Eynon 463th, Wynne Griffiths 742nd and Ann Rowell 820th.

Ann Rowell was awarded a bronze medal in the Welsh Championships for her age category. A silver medal was awarded to the two Anns and Mary as they were selected for the Welsh Masters team. 

On the same day as this race, there was the Dale half-marathon and 10km race.  Clive Thomas was second and won the male veteran prize.  Mike Evans was third, Roger Coombs 12th, Martin Davies 24th, Dave Griffiths 42nd, Penny Rees 58th, Helen Williams 69th, Mike Hodges 73rd and Lon Morgan 75th.  Trots men won the team prize. 

Chris Birch and Tracey Sharratt successfully completed the Dale 10km race and finished in 16th and 39th positions, respectively.

Ann Thomas ran a personal best time of 1 hour 25 mins at the Bristol half-marathon. Due to her excellent performance at this race, she has been selected to run for Wales in the Great South Run.

Cyril Walters successfully completed the Great North Run and Mike Hodges completed the tough uphill marathon in Switzerland.
