Mike Evans illustrated an excellent performance for the Welsh selectors to take note in the London Marathon, coming in 112th with a personal best time of 2.37.37 sec. This time enables Mike to run amongst the elite competitors next year.

Fine performances by the other TROTS runners were as follows: David Spencer 3.22.03 (2,787th); Adrian Varney 3.37.45 (4,893); Tom Furness 4.04.52 (9,801); Mike Hodges 4.26.00 (13,543).

All of the runners finished in the top third of the field.

Evan Williams did extremely well in the boys race, 15 to 17 age group, coming home second Welshman with a time of 14.37.

Megan Thomas ran a useful time in the girls 11 to 12 age group with a time of 22.45.

Several TROTS runners also performed well in the Mayor's Race held in Carmarthen on Easter Monday. Among them were the following:
