The family of a climber who sadly passed away following an incident at St Govans Head last month - have paid tribute to a ‘much loved son, brother and uncle’.
Fifty-two-year-old Justin Lowman, of Steynton, sadly passed away following an accident on Thursday, February 12.
Dyfed-Powys Police said officers were contacted by the ambulance service at 4.25pm over concerns for the welfare of three people on the Pembrokeshire coast.
Emergency services, including helicopters and lifeboats, and rescue teams from Fishguard, St Govan's and Tenby responded swiftly to the scene of the tragic incident which sadly resulted in the death of Justin, and injuries to two others during the major sea rescue operation.
Justin grew up in Pembrokeshire from the age of 5 and had a love of the outdoors from an early age, enjoying climbing, cycling and running. He was a very experienced and accomplished climber and well known in the local climbing community.
He went to Tasker Milward school followed by Liverpool University. He worked at Cardiff Council, Pembrokeshire College and latterly for the Royal Mail.
Justin was a much loved, son, brother and uncle, and the family would appreciate their privacy and time to grieve his loss at this very difficult time
