Tribute has been paid to a South Pembrokeshire teenager who has died suddenly.
Mary Thomas from Pembroke, a Year 10 pupil at Ysgol Y Preseli, passed away last week.
She has been described by her family as 'a beautiful, intelligent happy girl with a bright future ahead of her'.
The family added: "She was popular amongst her friends, family and pier groups. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and will always be remembered as a caring, thoughtful girl. We will miss her dearly."
In a tribute, school headteacher of Ysgol Y Preseli Mike Davies said: "We have been informed of the sudden and untimely death of one of our pupils.
"The news has come as a great shock to all members of the school community and our thoughts and prayers are with Mary's family and friends at this sad time.
"Mary was an able, popular and friendly student, exceptionally gifted in the creative subjects - a friend to all, her smile lit up every room.
"Students and staff are being offered counselling and support at this difficult time."
• Dyfed Powys Police is investigating the sudden death of a teenage girl in the Dinas area on June 19. The 15-year-old girl was conveyed to hospital by air ambulance, but tragically later passed away. Police say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and HM Coroner has been informed.
