Sir,

It is always immensely sad when a loss occurs in our lives, but I would like to pay a tribute to the life of Mrs. Pat Dart.

Not only did she work so tirelessly for the good of Tenby she so much loved, but her wonderful sense of humour and profound sincerity spread much further afield.

During John Major's time as Prime Minister, I put Pat's name forward for an award, to acknowledge all the years she spent doing charity work. This, unfortunately, had not to be, but then, Pat did not need that sort of recognition. Whatever she did, came from her heart.

Apart from my great admiration for Pat, I was both more than blessed and privileged to have been one of her very many friends.

Mary Squirrel,

The Old Toll House,

Redberth.
