Family and friends have been shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden death of a popular South Pembrokeshire teenager.
Dyfed Powys Police are investigating the death of 15-year-old Oliver Haydn Edwards Cavill, who was discovered at his home address in Llawhaden at approximately 10.30 pm on Tuesday.
Said a police spokesperson: "HM Coroner has been informed, but there aren't believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
A Year 11 pupil at Tenby's Greenhill School, tribute has been paid to Oliver by headteacher, Mr. Chris Noble, who said that all students and staff were shocked and deeply saddened by his sudden death.
"His loss came at a time when Oliver was making good progress in preparation for examinations in June 2009 and we are sorry that he will never know the success he would have achieved," said Mr. Noble yesterday (Thursday).
"The sorrowful scenes we have witnessed in school during the last two days testify to the warm regard in which so many students in Year 11 and other years held him," he continued.
"The teachers who worked with him most closely say that he was a loveable character who had developed a wicked sense of humour. He will be particularly missed during our Christmas Charity Day at the end of this term because he so loved the fancy dress that he and his family created with such care."
Mr. Noble said that the staff would be consulting closely with Year 11 about how the school will commemorate Oliver's life.
Oliver is survived by his parents James and Joanna, sisters Poppy and Mimi, and grandparents Haydn and Angela and David and Jeanette.
At the time of going to press, the funeral arrangements had not been finalised, but all inquiries should be directed to Messrs. W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd., The Old Rectory, The Norton, Tenby, tel. (01834) 843160, or Landsker House, 21 Station Road, Narberth, tel. (01834) 861300.
