A trial run of the delivery of wind turbine components for Dragon LNG will take place on Tuesday morning (November 25) - with Pembrokeshire Council stating that every effort will be made to keep travel disruption in the locality to a minimum.

The three new turbines, to be located on the Dragon Energy Park will operate alongside the facility’s existing solar park, helping the firm to continue to provide safe, reliable, and flexible regasification of LNG powered by renewable energy.

A spokeperson for Dragon LNG, whose terminal is situated in Waterston, Milford Haven said: “As previously shared, our Enercon turbine components are scheduled to arrive on site in January.

“To make sure everything along the delivery route is ready, our civil contractor Knights Brown will be carrying out a trial run using lorries similar to the picture, to simulate the vehicles that will deliver the components.

“This helps us identify any potential hold-ups in advance.”

Working with the Port of Milford Haven, the trial will leave the Port of Pembroke at 9:30 am. It will travel via London Road, Waterloo Roundabout and Scoveston Road, accompanied by a Dyfed-Powys Police escort. Every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.

Working with Pembrokeshire County Council, Dragon LNG state works have been carried out along the way to temporarily remove or relocate street furniture (signs etc) along the delivery route – including work to future-proof these for any further deliveries.
