I wish to thank the electors of Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire for their tremendous support for Plaid Cymru - The Party of Wales at the recent National Assembly election.
Having come within just a few hundred votes of winning, shows that we enjoyed a very positive and productive campaign. We can also take pride in having reversed the national trend by increasing Plaid Cymru's share of the vote in this constituency.
With Plaid Cymru and New Labour now neck and neck in Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire, I have every confidence that this seat will be a Plaid Cymru gain next time round.
I am indebted to all those who helped our campaign and look forward to building on this excellent result at next year's local elections.
