Ben Price continues to play well with another good score of nett 66 in the mid-week medal played on Tuesday
There was another good turnout for the Wednesday night roll-up, with the predictable result of Nick Johns scoring 21 points and taking the beer vouchers.
On Thursday, men's vice captain, John Calleja, went out for a practice round, with his daughter Amber for company, when he scored a hole-in-one on the 12th hole. So it was drinks all round (well Amber got a glass of coke). Well done John, but next time do it on a competition day when the bar bill will be much larger.
Adam Thorne pipped the in-form Ben Price after countback in the Saturday pro shop stableford, both scoring 38 points.
There was silverware up for grabs on Sunday, with the C&J Jenkins mixed foursomes trophy being played for. The winning pair were Matt McMann and Caroline Fletcher, who returned 41 points.
Club results during the past week were as follows:
Mid-week medal: 1. Ben Price nett 66; 2. Graham Harrison 71; 3. Pat Casement 79.
Saturday pro shop stableford: 1. Adam Thorne 38 pts after countback; 2. Ben Price 38; 3. Gary Heesom 36.
C&J Jenkins mixed foursomes trophy: winners - Matt McMann and Caroline Fletcher.
Dyfed league
The Dyfed League team travelled to St. Davids Golf Club on Saturday. The rain held off, but as usual there were strong winds. The St. Davids team, who are well used to playing in these conditions, recorded a 4 to 3 victory.
Paul Manwaring, who won last Sunday's Swingers, spent his winnings on a new club tie, which he wore with pride. Now, if only we could get him to play in the same colour shirt as everyone else, we will be making progress.
Results: Matt Adams and Billy Truman won 4 and 3; Greg Palin and Robin Lloyd lost 3 and 2; Simon Arthur and Gareth Roberts won 1 up; Brian Anderson and Matt McMann won 1 up; Paul Manwaring and Dai Davies lost 4 and 2; Keith Hubbard and Mark Ensor lost 5 and 4; Martin Yates lost 4 and 2.
Seniors
On Thursday, the seniors took on St. Davids Golf Club at St. Davids. The weather was perfect, lots of sunshine, with a light breeze. Individual results are not available, but the overall result was a 4.5 - 2.5 win to St. Davids.
