Ladies' News
On September 17, a party of 12 ladies travelled to Derllys Court Golf Cllub to play the return leg of the friendly played earlier in the year.
As always, our hosts were very friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed bacon rolls and tea/coffee on arrival, before venturing out on the course at midday.
Out of our six pairings, it was only Ann Dassen and Chris Collinson who won their match, meaning the Derllys Court ladies were much-deserved winners. Well done to all who played and we look forward to playing both legs again next year.
The ladies' mid-week competition on September 21 was a 'fun-filled' yellow ball competition. The eventual winners with 65 points were Chris Collinson, Anna Hubbard and Liz Crockford. The ladies all won £4 credit each.
There were no birdies scored between the ladies, so the bag draw of £9 went to Linda Kromrei.
The ladies' All-Winners Trophy and Endeavour Shield were played on Saturday.
In the all-winners division, which was a medal round, Fair Ball came first with a nett score of 72, reducing her handicap to 19. Hari Truman finished second with 79.
There were no birdies returned on the day, so the bag draw went to Rita Collins, rewarding her with £10 credit.
The ladies' Endeavour Shield went to Anne Morgan on countback after both she and Pat Fletcher finished with 29 points. Anne Morgan also won the bag draw as no birdies were returned here either.
Tomorrow (Saturday) will be the October monthly medal and weather permitting it should be a good day for all, so please book your tee times in the pro-shop.
