INFORMATION

As announced last week, Christine is setting up some lessons and clinics for the ladies. These are in the form of 'fix-it' sessions. They are £8 per session and you can attend just one or all of them. You could 'improve your driving,' buff up on your bunker shots and pitching or have a session on chipping and putting.

The times and dates are on the notice board in the ladies locker room and you will need to reserve your place with Christine. Please pop into the shop, call on (01834) 845639 or 07732701699, or alternatively e-mail [email protected]">[email protected].

Chris will also be re-starting junior clinics on Tuesday, March 3. If your child is interested, please give her a call in the pro-shop on the above number.

SOMETHING

DIFFERENT

And now for something different, or should we say a hole in (the wrong) one!

Last Sunday, Peter Scrivens was enjoying a nice round of golf. As he set up to tee-off on the par four 10th, Peter hit it long and he hit it hard, and lo and behold, he holed it.

Nothing major in that, we hear you say, but wait, Peter knew he had sliced it, not a bit, but a lot. So, as he went to find his ball, it was in fact his playing partner who noticed it in the hole, not the 10th, but Peter had sliced it so much he had actually holed out on the 12th - and he couldn't even blame it on the weather!

Never mind, Peter, at least you didn't have to buy the traditional 'bottle at the bar'.
