Thursday, January 8, seniors stableford: winner - Rob Evans, 36 pts (£6 pro-shop credit); runner-up - Mel Neale, 34 (£4 pro-shop credit).
Saturday, January 10, was the first silveware competition of the year. There was a reasonable amount of entrants, comparable with last year. In fact, the players were lucky the competition went ahead, as the weather on the following two days was so severe the course was closed.
Winners of the Dor-Mel trophy were Andrew Burgess on 35 pts and Michelle Richards on 32 pts, who also won £3 pro-shop credit for her gross birdie. Well done to Andrew, as the previous week he had also won the monthly medal - watch out, though, because James Maxwell is hot on your heels.
Tuesday, January 13, stableford: men's winner - Angelo Zerashi, 39 pts (£5 pro-shop credit); joint second - John James and Alan Chapman, 32 (£3 pro-shop credit each).
