The weekend of April 27 saw teams play a stableford, with the best of two of three scores to count. Winners with 85 points were Garry Heesom and Dan and Ben Edwards. Runners-up were Mel Beeley, Rob Evans and Mike Ansell on 76. The ladies had a Texas Scramble on Tuesday, April 29. The winning team was Sue Ash, Heather Thorne and Kirsi Jaakola with 25 points. They each receive three Precept 1Q golf balls. Men's Monthly Medal, Saturday, May 3: Division One - James Maxwell (Jnr.), net 73 (medal plus £10 pro-shop credit), Gil Thomas, net 80 (£5 pro- shop). Division Two - Malcolm Ruff, net 74 (medal plus £10 pro-shop credit), Barry Neale, net 76 (£5 pro-shop credit). Ladies Monthly Medal, Saturday, May 3: Division One - Sue Shooter, net 75 (medal plus £5 pro- shop credit), Kristalle Blum, net 77. No birdie twos. Bag draw - Mel Beeley, Garry Heesom and Alan McGrath all win £10 pro-shop credit; Pat Fletcher and Ann Dassen win a £5 pro- shop credit. Sunday, May 4, was a breakfast, mixed four ball, better ball. All competitors enjoyed a full Welsh breakfast prior to teeing-off. Unfortunately, the clouds decided to open up two-thirds of the way round and soak all the players, while many happily looked on from the comfort of the pro-shop. Despite the conditions, the scoring was very high, with the winners being captain Keith and his good wife Anna Hubbard on 43 points (they receive £10 pro-shop credit). Runners-up were two juniors, Kristalle Blum and Samu Jaakola on 42 points (they receive £5 credit). Last weekend saw the first round matches in the Dyfed League and Super Six, but it wasn't a good day for either team. The Dyfed League team played away at St. Davids and lost 41/2-21/2 , while the Super Six played at home against Haverfordwest and lost 4-2, with only Gavin Scotcher and James Maxwell being victorious. Any players available for the next match can enter in the pro-shop now.
