Motorists in Tenby can now take advantage of free long-stay parking at the town's multi-storey car park. Parking is free of charge until early next year on all levels apart from the ground floor, which is a short-stay car park. Drivers are also being advised that Crackwell Street will be closed to motorists from Monday until December 3, from its junction with St. Julian Street to its junction with High Street. The closure is to allow for the installation of a new electricity main to the harbour area. The one-way order for Crackwell Street will be suspended for the duration of the closure to enable vehicular access to affected properties from either end of the street. Meanwhile, the second phase of the Tenby Enhancement Scheme is well underway. The work involves renewing the footway surfacing with natural flagstones from the White Lion Hotel to the Crackwell Street junction area. Temporary traffic lights are being used during the work, but the road will not need to be closed and the authority is striving to keep inconvenience to a minimum.
