Pembrokeshire County Council’s trading standards service has recently become aware of consumers in the county receiving letters offering ‘Free ECO (Energy Company Obligation) Government funding’ to help improve the energy efficiency of their properties.

Householders are reminded that there are a number of organisations in existence that provide independent expert advice on saving energy in the home.

Trading standards advises consumers to contact one of these in the first instance for guidance on saving energy in the home and they may also help with funding for making energy efficiency improvements.

For further information and to find out if you qualify, contact the Welsh Government Warm Homes NEST scheme on 0808 808 2244 or the Energy Savings Trust on 0300 123 1234.
