The South West Wales area group of the National Vintage and Engine Club held a very successful tractor run back in May, raising funds for the charity Breast Cancer Now.

They started at St Ishmaels Garden Centre and then drove through the roads of South West Pembrokeshire although unfortunately the weather was against them with drivers not under cover receiving quite a soaking.

Undeterred they carried on collecting the amazing sum of £1,100 which was presented recently to Sheila Ralph local volunteer for the charity at their September meeting in Pelcomb Inn where a delicious buffet was provided.

As a mostly male group they were interested to learn that men too can suffer from Breast Cancer and also how the money they raised can be so beneficial to the charity.

Breast Cancer Now not only carries out research into the disease but also supports those going through treatment and beyond.
