Chairman Rosemary John was the speaker at the April meeting when she told of her recent experiences in Thailand and was very careful to emphasis that it was very definitely not a holiday! Eight beds in 13 nights - some island hopping needing a certain amount of gymnastic ability whilst manoeuvring herself from shore to boat and from one boat to another. Rosemary was with her son and his family visiting relatives and endured some very cold and wet weather, not an experience to be repeated! The coach taking members to Llandeilo will leave South Parade at 10.45 am on Thursday, May 4. On this coach, treasurer Gwen Nicholl will collect envelopes containing £10 from all those wishing to go to the Garden Party and Music Festival in the Orangery and Abbey at Margam on Thursday, June 8. Please do not forget your envelope, as all money has to be with the Federation treasurer by May 15. The venue for the meeting on Thursday, June 1, will be in St. Johns Church Hall, Warren Street, when the speaker will be Mr. J. Bendell, telling of growing up in Aberfan.
