The Mayor of Tenby has raised concerns over the poor state of a section of the resort's historic town walls.

Clr. Trevor Hallett told his fellow members at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council that he wanted to see 'drastic action taken' on the structure that had been leaking water.

The town clerk informed members that the Pembrokeshire County Council officer responsible for upkeep of the town walls had sent a response to say that they had inspected the walls and met with a contractor on site and that hopefully the works would be carried out within the next month.

Clr. Mike Evans said that it would be worthwhile writing to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park's building conservation officer Rob Scourfield notifying him of the town council's concerns.
