I wish to extend my support to Tenby Town Council in their pro-active efforts to twin Tenby with Gibraltar (reported in last week's Observer).

Being acquainted with the London borough of Camden, which in parts is both cultural and attractive, and having visited Gibraltar on a day trip from Spain, I would definitely prefer Gibraltar as Tenby's twin town.

Moreover, having now lived in Tenby for 14 years, I believe I have some familiarity with the general tastes of local people: I can only think that many Tenbyites would prefer Gibraltar above Camden as a twin town.

Especially if any exchange visits were arranged - Gibraltar, with its famous macaques (Barbary Apes), fascinating naval and military history, close proximity to Morocco and Spain and duty-free shopping seems to me an ideal twin town, if the current Gibraltarian government is inclined to look upon the idea favourably now.
