Some 250 people attended the Gala Awards Ceremony at the Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli recently to honour Carmarthenshire's finest tourism businesses.

The ceremony was organised by the Carmarthenshire Tourist Association, supported by the Carmarthen Journal and Llanelli Star, as well as individual awards sponsored by many organisations within the county.

The Hywel Dda Centre at Whitland won the Silver Award in the 'Community Tourism Award' category.

Members of the management committee who attended the ceremony were delighted with this award. The Hywel Dda management committee wish to acknowledge the support of Whitland Town Council and the people of Whitland, enabling them to win this community award.
