There were some challenging conditions for the January monthly medal at Tenby Golf Club on Saturday.
Although the rain that threatened for most of the day held off, a near gale force wind swept across the course, making things distinctly difficult.
Some high scores were returned, and some were not returned at all, as 19 of the hardy 81 competitors failed to complete their cards.
No such problems for young David Webb and Peter Turton, however, who defied the elements to win the medals in their respective divisions.
Peter Turton had a particularly impressive round, considering the conditions, with his net 72 off a 22 handicap later earning him a one-shot cut.
Leading scores and prize winners were as follows:
Division One (handicaps -3 to 12, 31 competitors): David Webb 87-10-77 (medal and £35 credit); Ian Thomas 89-11-78 (£25 credit); Adam Joseph 84-5-79, last nine (£13 credit).
Division Two (handicaps 13 to 28, 50 competitors): Peter Turton 94-22-72 (medal and £35 credit); Michael Gillet 102-26-75 (£25 credit); Graham Waring 98-21-76 (£13 credit).
Twos: Michael Anthony and Gethin Evans (£41.50 each).
Bag draw: N. Webb, S. Sheldon, V. John, M. Seal, C. Smith.
Handicap changes: Peter Turton 22 to 21.
