THIS festive season, the Torch Theatre Company will be presenting 'The Christmas Cuckoo's Cooking'.
Written and directed by Peter Doran, with original music by James Williams, the first performance is on Tuesday, November 25.
'T'was the night before Christmas
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
Not even a mouse ...'
But right at the top of the house, in the dusty, dark, damp attic - where all the broken toys have been discarded - an uprising is about to take place...
Inside the cranky old cuckoo clock, Toy Soldier and Ingrid, the Shepherdess, are hatching a plan.
If all their friends - Shine the Mouse, Edward G. Bear and Tooth Fairy - can fix the cuckoo's spring, then there's every chance they'll make it downstairs for Christmas Day.
Is this mission impossible? Will Captain Cuprinol, his wiley, wicked woodworms and their own dastardly designs on the Cuckoo foil their plan?
There's only one way to find out - visit the Torch for Christmas to catch this festive feast of comedy, capers and magical music for Christmas - the toys need all the help they can get!
The show runs until Saturday, December 27, and tickets are priced £8.50 (£5.50 discounts). A family ticket (two adults, two children) is available for £25.
The Torch Theatre Box Office can be contacted on 01646 695267.
Father Christmas will be visiting the Torch on December 23 and will be giving a free gift to every boy and girl booked in to see the evening performance.
