TOMORROW (Saturday), two Pembrokeshire schools' bands will be performing at the highest level in Manchester.

The Pembrokeshire Schools' Wind Band, under the direction of Tim Bourne, and the Pembrokeshire Schools' Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Gareth Sanders, will take part in the National Concert Band Festival at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

Both bands are formed from the eight secondary schools in the county.

The bands will be representing Wales and the West of England at this prestigious festival which features the top Wind and Jazz groups in Britain.

Said council leader, Clr. Maurice Hughes: "We wish them every success as they promote Pembrokeshire on the youth music map of Britain."
