A LOCAL environmental campaigner and former Director of Friends of the Earth Cymru, Gordon James, has been presented with the Inspire Wales Environmentalist of the Year award by the prestigious Institute of Welsh Affairs.

The award, which was sponsored by First Great Western, was given in recognition of Mr. James's 'tireless work, over the last three decades, to bring about environmental improvements, tackle climate change and benefit from the green economy'
