At a special presentation evening, held at the Picton Centre, Haverfordwest, on Saturday, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from Pembrokeshire, who gained the Chief Scout's Award during the past year, were presented with a certificate to commemorate their achievement, by the county vice-president, Mr. A. L. Buttle MBE, DSM.

The Chief Scout Award is the highest badge a young person can gain in their section - a high level of commitment and effort has to be made to achieve it.

The number of award winners this year, clearly shows that Scouting in Pembrokeshire continues to offer young people in the county, fun, excitement and adventure. Next year, 2007, is the centenary year for the Scouting movement and in Pembrokeshire they will be celebrating their 100th birthday in style, with a number of exciting events and activities taking place throughout the year.

Make a date in your diary to join them on March 4 at Pembroke Castle for a medieval extravaganza, banquet and craft fayre, and see for yourself the wide variety of experience and adventure that being a member of the Scout movement can offer.
