Recently-crowned British champions, Goodwick Brass Band are visiting Saundersfoot for a fund-raising concert on Friday, October 18.

To help raise funds to complete the new Community Hall, the concert also features Tenby Male Choir and takes place at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot.

Goodwick Brass Band, who celebrated their centenary in 2011, won the brass band second section title at the UK national championships at Cheltenham last Saturday.

They were one of three Welsh bands to win British titles and this week will be competing in the West Wales championships at Burry Port.

Directed by Matthew Jenkins, who was voted Wales' top brass band conductor last year, Goodwick have a youthful and highly talented collection of players. Their repertoire includes popular film themes as well as classical pieces and traditional Welsh tunes.

In August, they were in concert at Tenby's De Vallence in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
