A PEMBROKE Dock businessman has stepped forward to ensure that time marches on at the town's museum. Jeweller Lloyd James has funded the restoration to perfect working order of a now rare Army issue pocket watch. The Swiss-made Helvetica timepiece, dating from World War II, was not ticking when donated to the Gun Tower Museum. Now, thanks to the generous support of Mr. James, of Lloyds Jewellers in Dimond Street, it is keeping perfect time. Said curator Ron Watts: "We are very grateful to Lloyd for his support. We can now put a working Army watch on display at the Museum, but must remember to wind it regularly!" The Gun Tower Museum, on Front Street, has had a busy start to the new season and is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm.
