A charity head-shave by a well-loved Whitland woman has raised £2,000 for two good causes.
Sixty-one-year-old Monica Thomas, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, will be dividing the money raised between MS Research and St. Mary's Church, Whitland, where she attends.
The head-shave took place on Monday at the Station House, with Rose Rickard, of Rose's Salon, where Monica has her hair cut, undertaking the deed. Rose was assisted by her sister Pauline, not forgetting Stan, who helped with lighting!
Said Monica: "I have been getting so much help and still am that I thought on a whim I would like to do something small to give something back.
"I thought people might give a £1 or £2, but I have been completely overwhelmed by people's generosity and I feel very humbled. The Vicar, Rev. Kingsley Taylor told me it just showed how well I was loved. People say I am brave doing this, but I don't think I am."
