WHITLAND YOUTH 15 pts. NARBERTH YOUTH 16
It was Whitland who set the ball rolling when Tom Lewis bagged the first try of the afternoon, successfully converted by Lee Glanville.
Narberth centre Aled Thomas was quick to respond, however, and levelled the scores as he crossed for a try and added the extras himself.
The scores remained locked at 7-7 at the break, but it was Narberth who seized the initiative early in the second period with a penalty and a drop goal by Aled Davies to open up a six-point advantage.
Not to be outdone, Lee Glanville reduced the arrears with an unconverted try and then Whitland regained the lead as centre Wayne Morris slotted over a drop goal.
It set the scene for a nail-biting finish, Roger Davies dropping a last minute goal to seal a a thrilling win for Narberth.
