Planning a cracker of a Christmas on a budget? Why not pick up some tips from Learning Pembrokeshire?
A series of money-saving workshops has been organised across the county in the run-up to Christmas by Pembrokeshire County Council's adult and community learning team.
The workshops aim to show you how to use your computer to save money and still have a fantastic festive time.
They begin on November 14, with sessions run at community learning centres in Fishguard, Narberth, Haverfordwest, Tenby and Neyland.
Suitable for people with a basic knowledge of computer use, the workshops cover:
• Present shopping online - find out how to shop for local produce and other gifts, with advice on shopping to a budget and using your credit or debit card safely online.
• Producing Christmas card labels - how to create labels with seasonal images from the internet for Christmas cards, envelopes, and gifts. You can also learn how to use mail merge - an easy way to produce address labels for your Christmas cards.
• Planning Christmas with Outlook - how to use your computer for all your Christmas planning. Set out all your tasks, appointments and reminders - from making the Christmas cake to ordering the turkey.
• Searching for Christmas recipes - discover how to download a range of recipes from the internet, from traditional festive goodies to continental delicacies and dishes for those with special dietary requirements.
• Christmas imaging - learn how to search online for seasonal images and download them for use on cards, gift labels, and more.
• Downloading your photos - find out how get those photos off the camera and saved on your computer! Why not print a special image and frame it for a loved one, or even put together a photo album full of favourite photos as a unique gift?
