Two local women will be embarking on the Three Peaks Challenge this weekend, for a highly good cause!
Paula Robins from Tenby and Angela Lewis from New Hedges, who both work for Santander, will be undertaking the challenge for Alzheimer's Society, which is the bank's chosen charity (writes Amy Deverson).
Paula is Tenby's branch controls manager, while Angela is the Pembroke branch manager.
The pair are aiming to raise £1,500 for the cause, with however much they raise being doubled by Santander and the full amount going to the charity.
Paula and Angela will be setting off on Saturday morning at Ben Nevis in the Highlands of Scotland.
The mountain is the highest peak in Britain, reaching 4,408 ft. They will start with a breakfast at the bottom of Ben Nevis.
Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, with a height of 3,209 ft, will be the second they will scale. This is located in the western area of the Lake District National Park.
Finally, Paula and Angela will take on Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, reaching 3,560 ft.
The challenge will take place in the space of just 24 hours.
"I've not done anything like this before, the hardest thing I've completed is the Race For Life, so this will be a real challenge for us both, but very much worth it to raise money and awareness for this worthwhile charity," said Angela.
Anyone wishing to sponsor the duo can contact Tenby's Santander on 05511431299, the Pembroke branch on 05511486285, or call in at either branch.
