Three friends (aka The Three Musketeers)?from the Saundersfoot area decided to take on the Stonehenge Trek26 challenge back in September in aid of Dementia, raising a staggering £2,073 for the cause.

With all three ladies Deanne, Kelly and Rebecca having a family member suffering with the cruel illness, they took on the challenge to complete the 26 mile trek around the beautiful Salisbury’s town, through fields upon fields, up to Stonehenge and finish back where they started.

“Our goal was to raise awareness about the illness and to ask family and friends to donate what money they could,” said Deanne.

“All three of us would personally like to thank each and every one of our family and friends who donated.

“We were overwhelmed with the support we received.

A special mention goes to Deanne’s parents Ron and Brenda (from London) who travelled to Salisbury to cheer them along the way.

“Emotions ran high but crossing the line and receiving our glass of bubbly and medal was worth every mile for our loved ones currently battling this illness,” continued Deanne.

“Here’s to the next challenge!”
