THREE new exhibitions are all opening together at the Queen's Hall, Narberth, next Monday, October 14.
Starting on the ground floor, inside the Cafe Ole, with an exhibition by David Beattie, 'An Eye for Detail' shows prints of animals, landscapes and character portraits from a master of the craft of etching. They capture the rural life of Wales and offer a good way to start collecting.
From here the exhibition continues up the stairs, with 'Rock on the Stairs', wonderful photographic images of young rock bands by Chris Rees, of Sicofantic Productions. These images really capture the sweat, heat and excitement of the live gigs.
Finally, one reaches the Gallery on the top floor and a show by Angela Spillane. 'Correspondence' is a vibrant, colourful mixed media show, which explores the abstract qualities found in nature. Textured walls, peeling paint from boats and sparkling reflections in water are used to convey the artist's relationship with her surroundings.
As you can see something for everyone!
The exhibitions run until Monday, December 23, and are open Monday-Saturday 10 am to 5 pm.
Anyone interested in supporting the gallery by joining the Friends of the Queens Hall Gallery should contact the organiser on (01437) 541264.
