THREE generations of the Rice/King family will be taking part in this year's Race for Life at Scolton Manor. Joining thousands of other women, they will be raising money for such an important cause. Most of us will be touched by cancer at some point in our lives and this family are no exception.
Vivien King, who was a long-serving member of the Observer team, has recently undergone three years of treatment and has been given the all clear.
Her daughter Jenni also lost her mother-in-law to a battle with cancer a few years ago.
The youngest member to be running the 5km is Lily Rice. At only five-years-old, Lily stated: "I want to run the race to make lots of other poorly nannies and mummies get better."
