Three men have been charged with a series of attempted thefts from banks and post offices in Pembrokeshire.

On May 12, a number of reports were received from bank and post offices in the Tenby and Pembroke areas reporting three men had been involved in the attempted exchange of a large amount of cash for other denominations.

Staff were concerned about suspicious activity which they believed was taking place during the transactions.

At Saundersfoot Post Office, there had been a loss of over £300 during the transaction.

Police quickly identified a vehicle they believed was involved in the incident and this was stopped in Johnston.

The three men, two from London and one from Dublin, have been jointly charged with theft from Saundersfoot Post Office and four further attempted thefts.
