Held at Dai and Nan Llewellyn's Cotland Farm, near Llawhaden at the weekend, the annual Llawhaden and district ploughing and hedge trimming match attracted record support.
Weather and field conditions were excellent for the 31 ploughing entries from all over west, south and mid Wales and the overall winner was Rhodri George, of Roch, near Haverfordwest.
Peter Phillips, of Llandeloy, was the junior champion and he also was warmly congratulated by the president for the day, Mr. Richard Lawrence, of J. E. Lawrence and Sons, Clarbeston Road.
