DYFED-Powys Police Authority is pleased to announce that Mrs. Delyth Humfryes and Clr. Gwyn Hopkins have been elected as chair and vice-chair of the authority for a third term.

Members considered that the re-election of Mrs. Humfryes would ensure that a consistent approach is taken in terms of the oversight and scrutiny of Force performance despite the challenges facing Police Authorities over the coming months.

Mrs Humfryes has demonstrated a firm commitment to ensuring policing services delivered to the diverse communities within the Dyfed-Powys area are efficient, effective and accountable to the public and as such, members encouraged and welcomed her appointment for a third term.

Clr. Gwyn Hopkins was also appointed as vice-chair for the forthcoming year. Members considered that the experience of Clr. Hopkins would continue to ensure that the chair and authority would be fully supported throughout the next 12 months or until such time as changes to policing governance would be introduced.
